Post 2 - Who I am working with

For my preliminary task I will be working with George, Joe and Zack. George and I will be acting in the clip, Zack will be filming and drawing the initial storyboard and Joe will be editing. I am writing the script and George is completing the shot script.
Joe uses editing software often and is already comfortable with the software used, which will save the group time as he already knows how to use it. Zack has the best artistic skills for the story board, and George knows the media techniques that we are using and can include them well into the clip we are filming.

Post 1 - Preliminary Task

Our preliminary task is a task to show our skills in planning, filming and editing a short clip. We will also be using three differenent media techniques: match-on-action to show the first character with his/her hand on the handle before opening a door, shot/reverse shot during a conversation and the 180 degree rule throughout the clip. We have been given a brief list of instructions of things we need in our clip (including the three techniques previously mentioned): the first character must open a door, cross a room, sit down opposite a second person and exchange a few lines of dialogue. This task will introduce us to using several different skills such as drawing storyboards, writing scripts and screen scripts, using different cinematography, editing and filming techniques, as well as working in a team. This will all be very important in our main task.
